Privacy policy

Last updated October 12, 2026

Vyrl LLC ("we") runs this site: the pages creators share, the links on them, and the dashboard creators and brands sign in to. This policy says what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: visiting a creator's page sets no cookies, shows no ads and loads nothing from other companies.

If you visit a creator's page

Creator pages, the addresses for their videos and share links, their media kits and the links you click on them don't store anything in your browser: no cookies and no local storage. Pages load nothing from other companies; even video thumbnails come from our own domain.

When you click a link on a creator's page, we record:

  • the time, which link, and which page, video or share link you came from
  • your country, from our network provider Cloudflare (not your precise location)
  • your device type (phone, tablet or computer) and the website that sent you, if your browser says
  • two scrambled codes made from your network address and browser, using a random key we replace every day and then delete. They let us count unique visitors and spot fake clicks for that day only; no one, including us, can turn them back into your address

We don't store your network address or your browser's full description. We use the description only at the moment of the click, to tell people from automated programs.

We then send you to the link's destination. For affiliate links we add a click number to the address so the shop or affiliate network can tell us when that click led to a sale. They tell us the sale amount and the creator's commission, never who you are. The creator sees these numbers in their reports, added up; they don't see you.

If you chat with a creator's assistant

Your questions and the answers are saved so the creator can see what their audience asks. To answer, we send your question, with parts of the creator's videos, to our AI provider (Anthropic). When you open the chat we set a session cookie, vyrl-session, that keeps your conversation on screen for 120 minutes; it also sets a security token (XSRF-TOKEN) that protects the form.

If you add a creator to your own AI app (such as Claude or ChatGPT), the questions that app sends us are saved the same way, with a scrambled version of your network address to prevent abuse.

If you enter a giveaway

We collect what the entry form asks for: your email, country, date of birth, and if you give them your name and region, plus a scrambled version of your network address to stop duplicate entries. We use them to run the giveaway under its official rules. The creator running it may email you about other things only if you tick the box that says so. Giveaway pages use the same session cookie and security token as the chat.

If you have an account

Creators, brands and their teams give us their name, email, password (stored scrambled, never readable) and what they add: links, videos, transcripts, giveaway rules and campaign details. We use these to run the service, send the emails you ask for, and keep accounts secure. Signing in sets the vyrl-session cookie and the XSRF-TOKEN security token.

Payments go through Stripe, which handles card details; we never see them. To power AI features we send video transcripts and related text to Anthropic, and audio to OpenAI when you ask us to transcribe a video. They process it for us and don't use it to train their models.

Cookies

We set only the two cookies below, and only where they are needed:

  • vyrl-session: keeps you signed in, or keeps a chat or giveaway entry going. It lasts 120 minutes of inactivity.
  • XSRF-TOKEN: stops other sites from submitting forms in your name. It lasts as long as the session.

Neither is set when you view a creator's page, a video or share link address, a media kit, or follow a link. We use no advertising or analytics cookies, so there is nothing to consent to.

On our own website, your browser also keeps, for that tab only, the site you came from, the page you arrived on and any campaign tags in its session storage. It's sent to us only if you sign up, and saved with your account so we know how people find us. Closing the tab clears it.

Who else handles your data

  • Cloudflare delivers our pages and tells us the country a visit comes from.
  • Our hosting provider stores our database.
  • Stripe handles payments and payouts.
  • Anthropic and OpenAI provide the AI features described above.
  • Our email provider sends account and giveaway emails.
  • Shops and affiliate networks receive the click number when you follow an affiliate link, and tell us about sales.

We don't sell personal data, and we don't share it with advertisers.

Why we're allowed to

Under data protection laws such as the GDPR:

  • Counting clicks, crediting sales and stopping fraud rely on our and creators' legitimate interest in knowing what their page earns.
  • Running accounts, payments and giveaway entries relies on our contract with you.
  • Marketing emails from a creator or brand rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

How long we keep it

Click and sale records, chat questions and giveaway entries are kept while the creator's account exists, so their reports stay complete, and deleted with it. The daily keys behind the scrambled codes are deleted within two days. Chat and sign-in sessions end after 120 minutes of inactivity.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it, and you can complain to your data protection authority. Because we don't know who visitors are, we can only find click records if you can tell us roughly when and where you clicked. Email us at the address below and we'll reply within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and email account holders about anything important.
