Pick Beacons if you want one app for your link in bio, an online store, email marketing and a media kit, and you plan to sell your own products. Pick Vyrl if your income is mostly affiliate commission from outside networks like Amazon, Impact or CJ, and you want each sale credited to the video that drove it. Both have free plans, so you can test them side by side.

Tracking affiliate sales

Beacons does track some sales. Products sold in your Beacons store show up with their revenue. Beacons also runs its own affiliate program: you can paste a product URL from a supported brand, Beacons generates an affiliate link with a commission rate, and commissions earned through those links show in Beacons. You can also resell other creators' Beacons products for a commission.

For everything else, Beacons is a click counter. Its Insights page shows traffic in by source and clicks out by link. If you paste a link from Amazon Associates or a network like Impact or CJ, the sale is recorded by the network, and we found no Beacons feature that brings it back.

That's the gap Vyrl fills. You connect a network in Vyrl and paste a postback URL into the network's postback settings. Vyrl adds the network's sub ID parameter to every click with its own click ID (subId1 for Impact, sid for CJ, sub1 for Everflow, clickref for Awin, ascsubtag for Amazon). When a sale happens, it comes back to Vyrl tied to that click, with the commission and its status: pending, approved or reversed. Amazon doesn't send postbacks, so you upload the Earnings report CSV and Vyrl matches rows by Sub Tag. Re-importing the same report doesn't double count.

Sales by video

Beacons can show that visitors came from TikTok or Instagram. It can't show which TikTok.

In Vyrl, each video gets a word, such as vyrl.at/yourname/storm. Say it on camera or put it in that video's description. Every click and every sale from that visit is credited to that video. Combine it with a share link, like vyrl.at/yourname/storm/tt, and you also know the platform.

Say you post 20 TikToks a month and earn $400 in commission. Without video data, you know the total. With it, you might see that three videos earned $310 of it. Those three are your best guide to what your audience buys. The guide to which video made the sale walks through reading this report, and the TikTok affiliate links guide covers TikTok specifics.

Page speed and privacy

Page weight and trackers for Beacons are measured automatically from public Beacons pages and shown above this text. We'd rather show you a live measurement than a number that ages.

Vyrl pages are plain HTML with no JavaScript, served from Cloudflare's edge cache, and typically under 50 KB. They set no cookies and load no third-party trackers. Unique visitors are counted with a daily-changing salted hash, and IP addresses are never stored.

Beacons lets you add tracking pixels, such as Google and Pinterest, to your page and store. That helps if you run ads, but each pixel shares your visitors' activity with another company and adds weight to the page.

Pricing

Beacons lists four plans in its help center. Free has a 9% transaction fee on store sales. Creator is $10 a month or $100 a year and adds a custom domain and more email sends, but still has the 9% fee. Creator Plus is $30 a month or $300 a year and drops the fee to 0%, adds memberships, courses and logo removal. Creator Max is $90 a month or $900 a year. Stripe charges 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction and PayPal 3.49% plus a fixed fee.

Vyrl's Creator plan is $4 a month or $3.20 billed yearly in the US, and cheaper in many countries, as low as $2 a month. It includes revenue per video, affiliate postbacks, giveaways, the AI agent, a custom domain, CSV export and the daily revenue email. Vyrl takes no share of commission. See pricing.

When Beacons is the better choice

  • You sell your own products. Beacons has a full store with digital products, courses, memberships, appointments, physical products and payment plans. Vyrl has no checkout.
  • You want email marketing built in. Beacons includes email sends and automations. Vyrl sends you a daily revenue email but doesn't email your fans.
  • You want Beacons' own affiliate brands. If the brands you promote are in Beacons' affiliate program, you can earn and see commission without joining a network.
  • You do brand deals and want one toolkit. Beacons bundles a media kit and AI help with brand outreach.

Vyrl also has a media kit, a brand offers marketplace and giveaways, but its center is affiliate tracking. If outside networks pay most of your commission and you post a lot of videos, that's where Vyrl earns its place.

How to switch from Beacons to Vyrl

  1. Create a free Vyrl page and add your links. Use clean affiliate links from each network, without the sub ID parameter. Vyrl adds its own click ID.
  2. Connect your networks. Paste each postback URL into the network's server postback settings, not as a pixel. The Impact, CJ and Awin guides show where.
  3. Tap your own Vyrl link and send a test conversion from the network. It should show in revenue within a minute.
  4. Create share links for each platform and update your bios.
  5. Give each new video a word and use it on camera or in the description.
  6. If you sell products on Beacons, you can keep that store and add it to your Vyrl page as a link.

Once you switch, share only Vyrl links: your page, a video address, a share link or a link's short link. A raw network link can't be matched to a click or a video.

Questions

Does Beacons charge a fee on sales?

Yes, on lower plans. Beacons' help center lists a 9% transaction fee on the Free and $10 Creator plans and 0% on Creator Plus at $30 a month and above. Stripe or PayPal processing fees apply on top.

Can Beacons track my Amazon or Impact commissions?

Beacons tracks sales in its own store and commissions on links made through its own Beacons affiliate program. We found no way to send sales from outside networks like Impact or CJ back to Beacons, so those links show clicks only.

Which Beacons plan includes a custom domain?

The Creator plan, at $10 a month or $100 a year, includes a custom domain, and Beacons says the domain is free for the first year.

Does Vyrl have a store like Beacons?

No. Vyrl has no checkout for your own products. It focuses on tracking affiliate sales by video, link and place, plus giveaways, brand offers, a media kit and an AI agent that answers fans.
