Tracking affiliate sales
Stan is a store. When someone buys your ebook, course or coaching call, Stan records the sale, the customer and the payout. Creator Pro adds Affiliate Share, which lets your customers resell your products for a commission you set, with analytics on what each affiliate sold. If selling your own products is the business, Stan's tracking is solid.
Outside affiliate programs are a different story. You can add a link to an Amazon product or an Impact offer as a URL product, but the sale happens on the merchant's site and is recorded by the network. We found no Stan feature that brings those sales back.
Vyrl is built for exactly that. You connect a network and paste a postback URL into its settings. Vyrl adds the network's sub ID parameter to every click with its own click ID (subId1 for Impact, sid for CJ, sub1 for Everflow, clickref for Awin, ascsubtag for Amazon). When a sale happens, it comes back to Vyrl credited to that click. Amazon has no postbacks, so you download the Earnings report from Associates Central and upload it to Vyrl, which matches rows by Sub Tag. The Amazon guide shows the steps.
Sales by video
Stan can report traffic by platform if you add ad pixels for Meta, TikTok or Google, which needs Creator Pro at $99 a month. Neither Stan nor those pixels will tell you which of your videos led to an affiliate sale.
In Vyrl, each video gets a word, such as vyrl.at/yourname/storm. Say it on camera or put it in that video's description. Every click and sale from that visit is credited to that video, and share links like vyrl.at/yourname/storm/yt add where you posted it.
Here's an example. You review four products in four YouTube videos. Each video's word sends viewers to your page, and the dashboard shows earnings per click by video. If one review earns $1.10 per click and the others earn $0.15, you know which kind of review pays. The guide to earning from YouTube without the Partner Program has more on building income this way.
Page speed and privacy
Stan Store pages are measured automatically for page weight and trackers, and the results are shown above this text.
Vyrl pages are plain HTML with no JavaScript, served from Cloudflare's edge cache, and typically under 50 KB. They set no cookies and load no third-party trackers. Unique visitors are counted with a daily-changing salted hash, and IP addresses are never stored.
A store has more to do than a link page. Checkout, product pages and booking calendars need code, and Stan's Creator Pro adds ad pixels. That's a fair trade if you sell products. If your page mostly sends people to affiliate links, a lighter page gets them there with less waiting.
Pricing
Stan has no free plan. Creator is $29 a month or $300 a year and includes the storefront, booking tools, an unlimited course builder, lead magnets, memberships and AutoDM. Creator Pro is $99 a month or $948 a year and adds funnels, order bumps, discount codes, payment plans, email marketing, Affiliate Share and pixel tracking. Stan takes 0% of sales. Stripe and PayPal charge their usual processing fees.
Vyrl's Creator plan is $4 a month or $3.20 billed yearly in the US, and cheaper in many countries, as low as $2 a month. It includes revenue per video, affiliate postbacks, giveaways, the AI agent, a custom domain, CSV export and the daily revenue email. The free plan includes unlimited links and click analytics. See pricing.
The prices aren't really comparable, because the products do different jobs. Stan's $29 buys a store. Vyrl's $4 buys affiliate tracking by video.
When Stan Store is the better choice
- You sell your own digital products or courses. Stan's checkout is built into the page, with no Stan fee on sales. Vyrl has no checkout.
- You sell coaching or calls. Stan has calendar booking built in.
- You want upsells and payment plans. Creator Pro adds order bumps, funnels, discount codes, Afterpay and Klarna.
- You want your customers to promote you. Affiliate Share turns buyers into resellers.
- You run memberships or a community. Stan handles recurring subscriptions.
Vyrl is the better fit when most of your money comes from recommending other companies' products and you want to know which videos sell them.
How to use Vyrl with or instead of Stan
- Create a free Vyrl page and add your affiliate links, using each network's clean link without the sub ID parameter.
- If you sell on Stan, add your Stan Store as a link on your Vyrl page. Your products keep their checkout, and Vyrl shows how many clicks the store gets from each video.
- Connect your affiliate networks and paste the postback URLs into their settings. Tap your own Vyrl link and send a test conversion. It shows in revenue within a minute.
- Add share links for each platform and put your Vyrl address in your bios.
- Give each new video a word and mention it on camera or in the description.
From then on, share Vyrl links in place of raw network links. A raw link can't be matched to a click or a video.
Questions
Does Stan Store have a free plan?
No. Stan's help center says it has no free plan, only a free trial before a paid plan. The Creator plan is $29 a month or $300 a year, and Creator Pro is $99 a month or $948 a year.
Does Stan take a cut of my sales?
No. Stan says it earns 0% from transactions and charges only the subscription. Stripe or PayPal still charge their normal processing fees.
Can I track Amazon or Impact commissions in Stan Store?
Stan tracks sales made through its own checkout, including affiliates who resell your products. We found no feature for bringing in sales from outside affiliate networks, so those links aren't tied to sales in Stan.
Can I use Stan Store and Vyrl together?
Yes. Many creators sell their own products and also earn affiliate commission. You can put your Stan Store link on your Vyrl page and use Vyrl to track the affiliate side by video.
